Dear Mackenzie,
While we were in Paris this month, I took your siblings to the D'Orsay Museum while you had a daddy-daughter day at Galeries Lafayette. Daddy took you to the massive toy section of the mall and you two also explored the souvenir section. Unbeknownst to me, Daddy bought posters of my favorite cities in the French Riviera: Avignon, St. Tropez and Monaco. He wanted to surprise me, so you guys went to a nearby post office and he had them shipped back home. When they arrived today, he asked you slyly, "Mackenzie, do you know what came today?" Your eyes lit up and then you told me, "Mama! Do you remember when we had a Daddy-Mackenzie day and we went to the toy store? Daddy bought you posters! And then Daddy went to the post office and sent them! To surprise you!"
Daddy showed me the posters and said he's going to frame them and hang them up. I loved my surprise but the funniest part was that after you told me what Daddy had done, you ordered, "Kiss him! Kiss him!" Hahahaha! So cute! I love that you were in on the surprise--and I am very impressed that you kept it a secret this whole time!
Love,
Mom
